Taco Soup – ridiculously easy

So I got this recipe from an old neighbor who had gotten this recipe from a friend, so I don’t technically know the origin of this recipe. I do know that it’s a real crowd-pleaser and it’s ridiculously easy and quick to make – plus it makes a huge pot of soup. It also freezes well. I love the fact that it’s ready in minutes!
1.5 – 2 lbs ground meat
28 oz. can of crushed tomatoes
15 oz. can of tomato sauce
1 can of rotel
15 oz. corn (drained)
15 oz. can of pinto beans (drained)
2 packets of taco seasoning
2 cups of water
Shredded cheese (topping)
Tortilla chips (topping)
Other topping ideas: black olives, jalapeño peppers, fresh tomatoes, lettuce, green onions, sour cream…..just about anything you would put on a taco
Directions: Brown ground beef until cooked through. Add your taco seasoning packs and stir well. Add remaining ingredients except the cheese and tortilla chips(which is your toppings to serve with). Bring to a boil then reduce to a simmer and let cook for 10 minutes or so. Serve topped with cheese, tortilla chips, and your favorite taco toppings.
